Director Kitcha has tested your persistence level with Sneha
starring Bhavani IPS. A remake with modern touches of yesteryear super hit
Vijayshanthi IPS. The bad thing for the story is that, they have made a remake
with sticking to the same story line of a movie which is couple of decades old.
Plus the glitches and scenes in the film looks even older and are so faultily
put together in and mislaid script which makes you feel, did we forfeit ourselves
for this. I really wonder if there are any takers for this film now.
Sneha as Bhavani, has done a role needless to her carrier. It is natural to compare with Vijayshanthi. But Sneha however tried to match the later with her body language but her gentle eyes do not transmit vigor. She has been caught between the IPS of Trinunveli district and stunts of Anjelia Jole types. Even though she has given a whole hearted recital, I still feel Sneha does not fit in this film. Kota Srinivasa rao has nothing to offer, whereas Vivek’s so called comedy is preaching and makes you YAWN!! Other than these people, other cast just hools and shouts. I do not even go and look for the music director’s name, since it is pretty ordinary and cinematography for a masala film should have been far crispier
Bhavani IPS gets transferred to Tirunveli district and directly gets hooked with the big wig politician Sivalingam (Kota). She gets to the bottom and finds about his flesh trade. The story has predictable turns everywhere and there is a family sentiment running in parallel with Delhi Ganesh and Sneha’s step sister. The rest of the story is how the honest ACP takes revenge for her step sister murder and how she cleans up the district and brings the goons in face of justice. Told in a too familiar script with horrible screenplay
I want to make this point very clear. Am not against a female playing the protagonist, however I feel the talent of Sneha is weasted and she does not fit here in this movie. Overall you would be disappointed mightily, if you like female IPS officer’s movies.
