Naduinisi Naaygal, a complete different genre, never tasted
by Gautam in his carrier- A Psycho thriller .
I do not want this to be a typical review, either talking heaps of
praise or trash down. I am saying this because; it is a mixed package, very unlike
Guatham Menon !! however I would not miss this movie just for the fact that it
is not a film made for a amateur, non filmi, urban like audience
Naduinisi Naaygal should be commended for
On the whole you should laud Gautam’s for his thought process, but looking at the audience you find real disappointment. Remember
Naduinisi Naaygal should be commended for
- Gautam’s gutsy effort -Without Songs, Without BG score, and man he has done the trick
- Screenplay – It was just awesome gripping all the while
- Dialogues – Pretty good as usual Gautam Menon has at all times been excellent
- Cinemotgraphy – Pretty awesome when you consider the whole movie is shot without natural light. Hats off to Manoj Parahmsa
- Veera & Sameera: Veera as a new comer, at times overacts, but generally has done a neat meaty role. Sameera also have done wonderfully well
- Cast –Right from the Hero, Meenkashi, Sammera to the Pitbulls in the film are apt for their role
- Scrip/Plot - Too many loopholes in the story, raising doubts about reason. Script or the plot waffles round, however the screenplay covers it at most instances
- BGM – You need to really get accustomed not hearing BGM, plus and minus for this credit. Silence is OK, if the script is strong, but when the script wobbles you should rely on music to get connected with audience
- Elite Audience – Cinematography is pretty Hollywood style like and the narration confuses and you need to be a smart audience to digest and accept it
- Squashy– Film in its first half is quite overt and gratuitous. Very adulterated!!
- Comparison with a classic: During the marketing promos and hero interviews in various websites, there are few references with a classic – Kamal’s Sigappu Rojakkal. Audience gets disappointed when you see this layer in the identical light.
- Overall – You would definitely feel that it could have been lot better if at all the script has been tighter
On the whole you should laud Gautam’s for his thought process, but looking at the audience you find real disappointment. Remember
- Gautam is coming off from a kill called VTV (and)
- This film would be commercially successful even with critic bash because of smart marketing and pretty low budget (5 Cr (approx) in all)
